apples press conference is tomorrow i have no doubt there will be a new ipod. I've got all the info to conclude it... this will be quite long... I'm not 100% sure if the new ipod will be an iPhone or new iPod video, but i am 99% sure a new one will come out

This quote is from Smarthouse. Finally I found a site that includes everything from the patent. On September 7th apple published a patent named "Multifunction hand held device."

Two of my posts on Gizmodo:

Trust me, there is a 99% chance that a new ipod video will be released. To go with apples new patent, its a full screen ipod. The patent includes a lot of touch screen capabilities and full screen technologies. The touch wheel is not a real thing anymore. It will be integrated in the touch screen capabilities. The touch wheel will appear when you touch the screen, and disappear after 3 seconds when your not touching it anymore. This way the click wheel can disappear and you can watch videos full screen (the screen stretches across the whole ipod) and with hopefully a longer battery life (50% chance). Can't wait to hear the news.

Apple's press conference on September 12th is believed to announce a new iPod. I have no doubt that they will bring a new iPod into their mainstream. First of all, it's been about a year since the new iPods came out, and nothing is new about them anymore. Second, on September 7th, Apple's "Multifunction hand held device" patent was published, just before the conference. The patent includes: touch screen, full screen display, multitasking capabilities, pressure or force sensing devices, image sensor, touch gestures, differentiating between light and hard touches, speakers, wireless communications, and much much more. I think that they will introduce a new touch screen iPod video that in one full screen, with a touch-screen click wheel that disappears after you use it and comes back on when you touch the screen.

NO NEW iPODS! sorry everyone, none of them are new BUT they were upgraded. The ipod video's batery life have been greatly improved. The secong generation ipod nanos were introduced, with brushed metal like the ipod mini. 75% better scratch resistance on the nano, its thinner, the battery life has been improved too. Time for me to upgrade... plus the nanos prices have gone down, and now an 8GB nano (yes, 8GB) for the same price as the old 4GB nano, $250. The shuffle is now smaller than a matchbox, it loks like an silver ipod nano cut in half with just a click wheel. The ipod nano and ipod video has 60% brighter display, 75% longer battery life, gapless playback, games, new headphones. All in all, a good press conference. If i forgot anything post it....
