One of many of the RuneScape clan problems is managing a clan bank
Before we go on my advice is not to do it in the first place as it creates more issues than it solves. Just stick to the old saying "call for your drop before kill" This would be helpful to stock up for gears for wars. It is not recommended to start a clan bank when you just created the clan because this may put off some users as they may think you will take their stuff and run away. You need a good amount of users to at least start a clan bank. What can you do with a clan bank? You can store items for wars like rune sets or bronze sets for fun wars or ammunition like iron arrows or craftable material. Normally users of a clan donate their junk to the bank and that junk can help new and young members out. The problem with this is the management of the bank. I will teach you how to manage it in a way so that there are minimal problems How to manage it First the leader needs to create an account on a free world and finish the tutorial island. After that the leader needs to make a topic on their clan board with the contents of the character. You should only keep the account for yourself and you should be the only one who manages who gets what. How to receive donations from users On the topic you created, add in the item a user submitted with their name next to it. How to choose which items from a PK should be added to the bank First you need to at least get a few kills and not take the first drop to the bank to store. At least make everyone get something of a PK trip to reward them for being part of your clan and once and only once most users got something good you then call out for items to be stored in the bank, the items should be non valuable.( I will write another guide on pk drops and how to deal with it) and then put it on the user, it is preferable that the leader or the person responsible logs onto a safe place before transferring the goods to it. How to remove an item to give to someone There are 2 ways,
I think I covered everything -------------------- |

Not necessarily, as long as the creator of the account never puts stuff on it then its ok.

Actually, the "account sharing" rule applies to the fact that no more than 1 person should be able to access the account. Simple having an account to store items I have not been able to find anywhere in the rules.

If one leaders knows the pass, and that one person doesn't trade his own stuff onto the account them its ok and breaks no rules

(Ack, I tried to post this on the old forums, then realized they've been moved again. -.-)
It's not to do with account sharing at all. SE is run by myself and a pmod. He had asked Jagex about clan banks as we were starting to worry about them a little bit. Jagex explained to us that it breaks the "Real Life Trading" rule, yet not at the same time. It breaks the rules by being a "mule" but they seem to get targeted for "real life trading." Jagex has programs in place to alert them when an odd looking trade occurs. Usually with clan banks, it's a low level'd character who's receiving lots of items for free. It looks as if the owner of the account has been on eBay buying the items for real money if he/she is not paying the other user in GP. It puts the person owning the bank and those donating at risk of being banned. I strongly suggest you do not use clan banks. |

I suggest that there shouldn't be a clan bank in the first place. Members should be able to provide for themselves.
